New York is not much better, taxes are notoriously high here.

I am in Taxachusetts.  Ever hear of it?  We call it the great white tundra lol.

The weather has been strange everywhere.

Frugalforever2024, are you in the US? What state?

That video shows many damaged cars, the insurances will be busy.

The weather has been unreal here in Upstate NY.

This is close to home, and it shows what our roads are like at the moment:

26 miles is a long drive when you live in a wintery climate. Be safe!

by Frugalforever2024 » Mon Feb 17, 2025 5:38 am

I had a four day weekend, ending tomorrow.  I don't want to work on holidays in the winter.  I am glad I didn't put in for this holiday.  We have had a snowstorm, followed by freezing rain/wintry mix/sleet and starting tonight, temps are going to plummet to -zero.  Another storm coming on thursday, but will be well below zero for the next few days and I am terrified to drive 26 miles into work on black ice.  I will drive in a blizzard, but black ice terrifies meImage
