I have a metal detector. At first it was exciting but then it kinda wore off.
Nowadays I only use it when I lose something.
I've never found anything of value even back in the day when I played with it often.

Here's a list of good places to use a metal detector at:

1. Beaches and Coastlines
2. Parks and Recreation Areas
3. Old Homesteads
4. Battlefields
5. Ghost Towns
6. Campgrounds
7. Abandoned Buildings
8. Construction Sites
9. Farmland
10. Schoolyards

Are there any metal detecting fans here?
I received a metal detector as a present about 8 years ago. I've never found anything unusual or anything of value though.
It is fun to search for things, but it beeps so often, I just get confused, lol.

The most I've found was a really old coin.
They say that a good place to use a metal detector is around old outhouses.
Other than that, there are no great places around here. Just mountains, fields, and cows.

Suggestions are welcome!
