I've never bought any tissues in my entire life. A hanky will do just fine to blow my nose.
I've been using the same hankies for years, they are cotton, and strong. Not much can go wrong with them.
After use, they go in the washer. I don't bother ironing them :)
Here are some stats:
- The average person buys 231 boxes of tissues in a lifetime. This seems low if you consider the next statistic:
- In 2020, apparently 8.27 million Americans used at least 8 boxes of tissues.
So on average, $35 a year was spent on tissues in a year.
I spend that amount on hankies in 30 years.
