It's been a pleasure watching them. The little ones aren't so little anymore. They will fledge soon-ish :)

I've been watching the SWF Eagles nest for years. There have been some problems and it's always sad to see something happen to the eagles. Little do they know how popular they are!
There are many live cams for eagles, owls, and so many more. Search youtube for bird  live cams.

The little one has grown so much. Maybe the fact that there is just one means that it gets more food, who knows.
I don't watch it much, is it a boy or a girl, does anyone know?

Sad that one of the babies never made it out of the egg this year.
On the other hand I'm happy to see that the male eagle found another mate after his mate disappeared last year.
A disadvantage of having one baby is that the baby won't fight with its sibling and it won't learn so easily how to fend for itself.
On the other hand, it will get plenty of food.
The other day when dad brought an eagle in the nest, that made me feel sorry for the rabbit.

The dad did a great job and raised the babies by himself. They have fledged and just recently dad came back with what I think might be his new girlfriend.
We'll see in a few months.

They're still hanging in there.
I haven't seen the female eagle that was stealing the food from the babies, but now there seems to be another female around.
Surely he will have a partner by next mating season!

Bald eagles have bird flu, I wonder if that's what killed the mom :(

Update: So far so good, the 'kids' are doing well and they are growing.
They can feed themselves now, as long as dad brings the food and the evil stepmother doesn't steal it.
If everything keeps going well, I am sure they will eventually be able to fledge.

Such a sad story this year. The mom is definitely gone. Probably dead.
The dad has been feeding the young ones and now there is another female eagle who wants to hook up with him.
Unfortunately she doesn't have much of a mother instinct since the kids are not hers, so she tries to steal the food from the kids.
Here's to hoping that everything will go well.

I've been watching this cam for about 4 years now.

It's pretty sad this year. The mom disappeared two days ago :(
The eagles are too small to fend for themselves, and they are now unsupervised while the dad goes and searches for food.

Additionally, one of the babies is bullying the other pretty badly.
I'm not sure how this is going to end.
Apparently some people are looking for the mom, to see if she is injured somewhere.

It's fun to watch eagle cams, but things don't always go right, and then it's not so much fun.
