Putting scary images on cigarette packs has been done in Belgium (and I don't know which other countries) for many years.
When I went to Belgium in 2017, my friends showed me their cig packs. They said that at first the scary images were on one side so they would put their packs so that the 'normal' side would show. But then later, the ugly images were put on both sides.
If you're a smoke... quit today.
If you're not a smoker, never start.
When I started smoking, absolutely nobody said it was bad for your health. We saw commercials for smoking on TV, you could see ads for cigarettes on huge billboards. It took me many years and numerous tries to finally succeed quitting. It's been 2 years now and I still miss it every day. Don't put yourself through that, don't start smoking.
Especially with all the warnings nowadays, anyone should know how bad it is to smoke.
