I wonder how often they send promotions? Seems I got plenty at first, but lots less now.

I signed up for Instacart after hesitating for over a year when Instacart first started servicing my area.
It might be best if I start a separate topic with my Instacart experiences so far.
Will do after work late tonight or tomorrow. Hint: My first impression and overall experience with Instacart is very good.

Careful for the hidden fees.

Service fee.
Weight fee (If the total of your orders is over 50 pounds I believe).
Long distance fee (If the distance between you and the store is more than a 30 minute drive).
Alcohol fee (If you have any alcohol with your order).
Tip (20% of your total)
Fast delivery fee (If you want same day delivery)

There might be more, dunno.

20% is not cheap when you have like a $300 bill but depending on where you live you save on petrol and if you shop at places like Aldi you save at least 10% because it's about 10% cheaper compared with other stores.

I've been researching Instacart and I consider signing up and having my groceries delivered, but I see two drawbacks.

The first one if the tips. It's not a requirement but they suggest you tip 20% of the total amount. My total is easily $200 so I'd have to tip $40. That's pretty steep don't you think?
Second drawback is that you don't get to pick your own things,  although I have my own fresh vegs and fruit and I don't buy meat, so it's just dry stuff and dairy products, maybe a pizza here and there.
But I like to look at the expiration dates, etc..

I can't make up my mind.
