There are so many different kinds of sunflowers. 
The sunflower is my favorite among all flowers.
I don't have experience with growing them indoors (not enough light here), but I do have some experience with cutting them, putting them in water, and then bringing them in.
This works very well and they last a while in the house.

Sunflowers are easy-to-grow flowers. They require no special care and can thrive in almost any environment. But they need a lot of sunlight to grow correctly, making it difficult to grow indoors during winter
