It's Eagle season again!

I've been watching the cam for some time now.
The first egg is in the nest :)

I wonder if there will only be 1 egg this year, it's been 2 days and only 1 egg so far.

Here is some very sad news. Both the baby eagles died within this past week. It turns out they died of bird flu.
This is so sad :(

Rest in Peace, baby eagles.

Have you noticed.. some other eagles have been coming to the nest. How much do you bet they offer condolences? I know that crows do it too, so maybe eagles do it also. Just a guess.

Looks like the parents are getting the nest ready for next season. Hopefully next season won't have a sad ending like this one.
