I just got a big bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide. I was going to use it to clean grout in the bathroom, but after doing some googling, there is so much more you can do with it.
- Cleaning in general.
- Cleaning your dish sponges
- Use it on your cutting boards.
- Use as teeth whitening
- Stain remover, especially blood stains.
- Disinfect anything
- Wash your laundry.
- wash the vegetables.
... and so much more!
Uses for Hydrogen Peroxide
I've been told that it's really good for grout.
While I always have hydrogen peroxide on hand, I don't use it often. I do clean my bathtub with it and it cleans very well. I have a 12% solution which is 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 5 parts water. It's important to always use the correct amount of water vs peroxide.
Hydrogen peroxide is also said to remove skunk smell but I hope I'll never have to try it out to see if it works. All I know is that when I got sprayed by a skunk a few years ago, none of the multiple remedies I read on line actually worked. I ended up throwing my clothes in the trash, as well as the blanket I had used around the skunk.
