I am trying to get back on my frugal Journey:
The Dollar Store, The Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. I have started to use these. You have to spend at least $1.25 to buy anything! They should call it the Dollar + Store. Good for Cards of all kinds, microwaveable bowls, I just get what I need for the moment, but I am about to be super strapped for cash. So, I have to be careful of what I buy. I am not as careful, right now as I want to be. I know I can save more. And I need to.
Walmart is another great store! Good for lots of stuff cheaper. But you have to know your prices. I am finding more of the larger chain grocery stores are equal in price on lots of items.
Or you can be like me and do a treasure hunt in your own home. I had to clear all the stuff under my vanity in my upstairs bathroom. I needed a plumber. I took the cap of where the drain is. There is a long plastic piece that I cleaned some hair off and it fell in the drain. I can't even see it. So, I called a friend who gave me her plumber's name. I called him and proceeded to clean years of stuff under my vanity. It is amazing what I fit in a kitchen sized plastic bag! and then some. He came and did the work, left. I narrowed down 2 basic items, that I have lots of. Razors and Toothbrush heads for the Oral B. I can't wait to look in the closets!
