We like to go out to dinner, but it is getting so darn expensive.
Maybe I am getting old and I think that the price for a dinner at a restaurant should still be $12 like it was 30 years ago. Or is eatikng out really too expensive nowadays?
As far as I can tell, there are still three places where you can eat at affordable prices.
Diners, Chinese restaurants, and some buffets.
At least that's how it is around here.
We have two all you can eat buffet places. One is $38 a person and the other is $14 a person. I'm sure you will know which one I go to.
The advantage of those buffets is that you get everything: a drink, appetizer, salad, main course, dessert, you name it. And it's one price.
Go to any restaurant and order all that. You'll pay through the nose.
Diners: We have several diners around here where you can still eat for a really low price. The food is usually good. It does vary from diner to diner.
Chinese restaurants: We have two in the area, and both are cheaper than most other restaurants.
Eating out at affordable costs
I rarely eat out. I just keep thinking about the cost and how much I would save if I just stayed home and in the end, I just can't enjoy and relax. Bad, eh?
The expensive places don't necessarily have better food than the lesser expensive places and remember, the more expensive your dinner is, the more you have to tip if you're a fair tipper.
