Want or need?

When you buy things, do you ever wonder whether you want a specific item, or whether you need it?

I tend to only buy things that I need, not things that I want but not need.
There are exceptions, however.

I don't need cookies, but it's my weak point. I have to buy some cookies when I go to the store.
Tractor supply sells what I think is the best soft licorice in the world.
No I don't need this, but I won't mind spending a couple extra dollars and take some delicious licorice home!

In my humble opinion, there is a difference between wanting cookies, or wanting a new TV. I buy things I want but don't need although they are always things of little value like some nice smelling soap or maybe a new doormat. I stay away from anything over $20 unless I really need it.
