I have yet to make up my mind as to which is the most economical method.
Should I buy my bread or bake it myself?

I bake my own bread, but it is cheaper? A loaf of bread doesn't cost a lot.
Baking it you need flour, yeast, salt, oven time and your own time.

Of course baking your own bread is better and probably healthier than what you would buy in the stores.

Thoughts?

Bread can vary quite a bit in price.
Baking your own might be cheaper if you compare it to expensive bread but I bake my own regardless of whether it's cheaper or not. I just can't eat store bought bread, it doesn't taste right.
Nothing better than a good slice of home made bread.
If you bake in wintertime, it also warms up the kitchen and you'll use less heat.

We used to have a bakery in town that sold their bread for $1 at the end of day since they baked fresh every day and they wanted to get rid of the old.
Back then it was obviously cheaper to buy it but now that the bakery is no longer there, I don't know what would be cheapest. The price of ingredients goes up easily.

There is honestly nothing better than home baked bread.
Even if it costs a little more, you save on dr bills because you know what you put in the dough and it's not something crappy or underhand.
