Hi everyone.
I was so sad and upset to see that the Official Dwight Schultz fansite and Facebook page appears to be unavailable.
I went away on holiday and then came back to find it wasn't there.
I didn't see any warning or explanation for it going or if it will ever be back.
Does anyone know what happened?
I contacted tapatalk support and Chris has been marvelous and really kind setting this up for us as a way for fans from the Official fansite to still communicate with each other.
Apparently there were only about 7 of us who had been on the fansite this year and those are the only ones Chris is able to contact but the Facebook site had hundreds of people active on it.
Anyhow thank you to Chris from Tapatalk for taking the time to do this and I hope to hear from you Dwight Schultz fans.

Hi Beekind2u there was a thread about the forum closing due to inactivity. The website and Facebook page went before the forum I think. Understandable that it went due to inactivity but still sad.

If anyone wants to catch up with me you can find me on tiktok as thatkliqkid and X as Smartspencie. Mainly posting about Spencer Reid and Criminal Minds these days. I do still have the Dwight gallery.

Thanks for coming on here Thatkliqkid.  I must have missed that notice.
I agree that there wasn't much activity on the forum site but there was so much detail/photos on there (mainly through your dedicated work putting on old photos from Dwight's past) it was like a really detailed biography of Dwight's life and it's such a shame that that has all gone. I'm so pleased to hear you still have the Dwight gallery.
I thought that at least people would be able to read what was on the fansite even if it was dormant and people couldn't post on there anymore.

I hope copies of the photos/ biography summary were given to Dwight before it was all taken down.

What about Facebook though? There were hundreds on there and lots responded whenever there was something posted on there. Though I noticed the admin hadn't put anything on there for a quite a few months.

I guess it was all done in communication with Dwight, I don't know.

I hope Choppercrazy is ok and it wasn't because they were ill or anything.

I hadn't watched The A Team for quite a while, but when I went on holiday to Spain saw it in Spanish! And they are showing The A Team on Legend channel at the moment though of course I have the DVD/Bluray sets anyway!

I don't have a Tiktok account and don't often go on X but can look you up, but if you would like to sometimes come on here and chat that would be good.
I had been going on the fansite less often - it used to be everyday and then it went to about once a week but I will miss it and I liked seeing some of the old posts.
Such a shame.

I haven't been to the forum for a long time. Still, I was a bit shocked by the email that the forum is no longer active.
It's a shame. But I do understand.

I hope you are doing well.
I have been very busy with my school in recent months and working.
I am currently taking my final exams. So far I have passed everything and I can receive my diploma for pharmacy assistant in February

Hi anna-varis.
It's good to have this opportunity to catch up and to be able to communicate with one another if you wish to.
Yes I was shocked as well when they closed the fansite especially to get rid of the Facebook page as well which was more active. Such as shame and poor Dwight doesn't have a fan page anymore. It was lovely when he posted Christmas wishes every year and we won't have that anymore either. 😟
I know things change over time and there were only a few of us posting on there.
I appreciate it must have had to be monitored and maintained and that all takes up time. Many thanks to Choppercrazy and co for all their hard work over all those years.
And I still love Dwight!

Well done anna-varis with doing so well with your studies. I remember when you first started them. The time has flown by! I hope everything else is going well too.

I've just had a birthday and I'm getting pretty ancient now. I work part time but am still very busy and help run Toddler groups, am involved at our local church and help out at a Beaver Scout group!

Look after yourself and keep in touch if you can.

I think we're all getting ancient.  The young ones are on facebook and tiktok while the older ones are on forums still :)

Hi Chris. Thanks again for setting this forum up for us. 🙂
I think you're right about the slightly more mature ones liking forums and the younger ones preferring other social media platforms.
I was late to the game trying a forum for the first on Dwight's fansite in 2016. I thought it was great chatting to people from all around the world - a bit like having pen pals!
You don't really get so much of the "chat" aspect on Facebook or X.
So anyone who wants to chat, I'm very happy to. 😃

You know, back in 2005 when I started working with forums, it was awesome. Anyone could start a forum and get a few hundred members in no time.
Nowadays it's difficult to keep a forum running.
Facebook is serious competition to forums.

It's pretty quiet here at the homestead since I don't really advertise or promote the forum but feel free to hang out here. Some people visit and post now and then :)

Hi there, I am also back (formerly known as "Murdocka") here. So sad to learn that the forum is closed... *sniff

Thanks to Chris for giving us the oppurtunity to meet here.

I've been to Las Vegas for the last two weeks and look what I found at the Hollywood Car Museum... 🙃
