Until this season when I set a trail cam regularly, I had no idea we had so many bears. Big ones and cubs, here is a big one.

I was able to capture many bears on my trail cams. Two cams got damaged by bears.

Here's another picture :)

Do you live in a rural area or in a city?

Awww! That's really delightful seeing those cubs. They're so cute!
My adult daughter loves bears too.  I've just shown her 😃

We live in the suburbs, south coast of England, not far from countryside and seaside, so no bears here!
We get lots a different birds in the garden and often see grey squirrels, foxes and occasionally hedgehogs. I've also seen wild rabbits and two species of deer.  I know there are badgers in the local area but sadly I have only seen them when they have been killed on the road.
I do love seeing wildlife.
You're lucky having bears though I guess they could be dangerous?
May I ask whereabouts in the world you live?

Oh I always wanted to visit England but never got around to it. I was born and raised in Belgium, and I often went to Ostend to watch the boats leave for Dover :)

I am now in upstate New York, I live in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains, pretty far away from civilization :)
It's truly beautiful here but the only downfall is the climate. It is super cold here and the winter lasts forever. They say we have 2 seasons here, winter and July. I believe it. July is the only month in which I've never seen the temps go below freezing.
But, climate change is read. I've not seen frost in August in recent years.

The bears can be dangerous when they have cubs (babies). but bear attacks around here are very rare. I only know of one that happened long before I moved here.

Are you in the part of England where it rained this whole past spring and summer?

That's really great to have such experience of having been brought up in Belgium and now living in the foothills of the Adirondack mountains.
I the bit about 2 seasons Winter and July made me laugh.
I live near Portsmouth in the centre of the south coast.
We certainly had a lot of rain this year but also a few weeks of fairly hot weather.
The weather is so changeable here but I love it............... mostly! 😅
We had nearly 2 weeks of very overcast sky recently when we didn't see any blue sky or sun at all.
That's when we need our vitamin D tablets as we don't get enough sunshine.
Some places further north have had snow today as it's got a lot colder. It did go down to 3 C this afternoon here but it just rained ....... no snow for us. London had some snow but it didn't settle.
It's going to be cold but sunny tomorrow but by the weekend it's getting milder but we've got stormy weather coming with strong winds and rain.
We never get bored of our British weather!
I don't really enjoy the cold but I guess you get use to it where you live?

I still want to visit your corner of the world some day though I'm getting old, haha!
No, you don't get used to the cold. But in my experience, people who were born here don't seem to mind it at all.
I very much dislike driving in snow and on icy roads. There is no public transportation in my area so we all need a car. Thankfully I can start my car remotely, so by the time I get in the car it's warm.

Like the kids, my husband and I make snow sculptures in wintertime.

I'm a lazy blogger, but here are a few:

Have you ever been to Belgium?

I had a look at the the snowflakesfun - the snow sculptures were amazing to see.
It looks so picturesque in all those snowy scenes.
I think I would love that amount of snow for a short time, just to admire the beauty of it and have some fun with it but then I think I would prefer it to warm up again!
I know what you mean about it having to be just the right sort of snow as some years ago when we had a couple of inches of snow I was excited about building a snowman with the kids but the snow was very powdery and didn't hold together so we couldn't mold it at all.

And no I don't think I've ever been to Belgium. My husband has a couple of times in the past though and really enjoyed it, especially the beer!

Yeah most of the time the snow is too powdery here too because of the cold. Our best bet is near the end of winter, that's when it warms up a bit and the snow packs better. We often have snow for 7 months on end.
Would you believe that pretty much nobody makes sculptures here? People often stop to take pictures of our sculptures since they cannot see that elsewhere :)

I love Belgium and especially the food. I don't drink beer though.

By your post it sounds like you don't get snow every year?

You're right. We don't get much snow here especially in the last 5 years it's hardly snowed at all. I got excited yesterday as it snowed quite heavily for an hour or so but it didn't settle as it had rained earlier and the ground was too wet. It did turn the roof tops white for a little while at least!

Tomorrow we have storm Bert arriving which will bring the south heavy rain and strong winds up to 50 miles an hour and might bring snow to the north.
