To heat your bedroom, or not to heat your bedroom

I've never understood why people heat their bedroom. Personally, I've never heated it.
It's far away from the kitchen and the bathroom, and there are no pipes that can freeze by not heating my bedroom.

I have fleece sheets which give immediate warmth when I go to bed.
I also have a comforter and put some blankets on top of it when it's really cold.

It's about 50 degrees in my bedroom on a cold winter night, and I sleep quite well.
I can't imagine how much I have saved over time by not heating my bedroom.

You can also sleep in a sleeping bag in wintertime.
Other ways to keep warm in an unheated bedroom:

- a spouse :)
- a warm water bottle for your feet. I love mine!
- A big dog.
-Very warm jammies. That makes a big difference.

Cheap $3.99 men's wool socks from a discount store, homemade jammies (Very Warm.)
Cats, what I wouldn't give to have mine still.
Homemade quilt, 2 comforters
I need the heat on at least 67, otherwise too cold in winter for me.  Will be brutally cold when I leave for work tomorrow morning.
I use a cool mist humidifier, so it has to be a little warmer for me.

I hate the cold with a passion but strange enough, my bedroom has to be as cold as possible. I absolutely cannot sleep in a heated bedroom.
I don't use sheets in wintertime, I use thin blankets instead of sheets, and then my comforter with a blanket on top of it.

I'm freezing in the winter, but sometimes I crack the window for fresh cold air while I sleep.
