Would you help an unemployed sibling?

I have a little sister who does not work at the moment. She has been looking for a job. It's the norm in our culture to look after younger siblings. So, in that way, it's culturally and socially inbuilt in me to take care of my loved ones when they're stuck in a difficult situation. But the case would be different if I hadn't seen my younger sibling trying, even if they'd given the time and encouragement to do so. Therefore, it's time to talk when it almost seems lazy.
In the western world, we don't have much culture when it comes to helping family or friends. Each person seems to decide this for themselves.
Personally, I would help, and I'm known to also help friends but I hear you about being lazy.
Some people think they can just get everything handed to them.
Thankfully my family and friends are hard working. If they need help, I help.
